The British government is prepared to move forward with employing the full worth of seized Russian holdings to bolster Ukraine's war effort, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has declared.

In a joint statement, the officials of the Britain, the French Republic, and Germany stated that this coordinated action would heighten pressure on Russia's leader Vladimir Putin and compel the Russian Federation to come to the table.

They further noted that the initiative would be carried out in strong partnership with the US.

British restrictions have immobilized more than £25bn of Russia's resources since the Russian government launched its widespread offensive against Ukraine in 2022. But, previously, funds allocated to the Ukrainian government using Russian holdings had only been drawn from gains and dividends accrued on them.

Sir Keir informed Ukraine's leader Volodymyr Zelensky that the UK, the French Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany were aligned in their goal to drive progress toward using the total worth of the frozen Moscow's national holdings to end the war.

He stated that additional sanctions over the next period would apply more pressure on Russia.

This statement comes after European representatives met in Copenhagen last week to debate employing seized Russia's assets for a €140bn financial aid to Ukraine.

Recently, American leader Donald Trump encouraged international partners to seize or utilize frozen Russian holdings, according to reports.

The value of immobilized Russia's assets in the EU is calculated to be nearly €211bn.

The Russian government carried out extensive bombardments all over Ukraine on recently, causing blackouts in large parts of Kyiv, Kyiv, and several other zones.

Two people were killed and at least 20 people were wounded in the attack, the Ukrainian government reported.

In a post on social media subsequent to the incident, Zelensky stated that the strategic strike aimed at civilian and energy infrastructure.

"The necessity is not mere statements but decisive action - from the US, EU, and the seven nations - in delivering anti-aircraft weapons and implementing restrictions," he wrote.

"All penalty impositions diminishes Moscow's military apparatus," Zelensky wrote, in a separate post.

In the same period, Zelensky told media outlets he would urge Sir Keir to enter the Purl scheme, under which alliance members purchase weapons from the US to provide to the Ukrainian forces.

While praising the UK's strong support for Ukraine, he said it should demonstrate clearly that it would take part in the initiative, as well as apply more sanctions on Moscow.
