The return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense enthusiasm across the community. From the gradual reveal of fresh additions ahead of the game's launch, to trainers developing strong opinions on the full roster of new Megas, there's plenty for fans to look forward to.

Given many of the Super Forms boasting unique designs that emphasize their personalities, one thought naturally: What's the best way to connect this with astrology? This list is based on a blend of intuition, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.

Aries – Super Camerupt

Honestly, Houndour's evolution was almost selected for Aries, as both are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the greatest apprehension. But, a Mega Houndoom comes across as always angry, which doesn't match the Aries vibe, renowned for being playful, light-hearted, and impulsive. That's why the Ram much more similar to Super Camerupt, which only spews lava when provoked. Remain on the good side of both and benefit from a powerful partner; should you offend them, be ready to face the consequences.

Taurus – Mega Heracross

Similar to a loyal Bull, the reliable Heracross, whether in its regular and Super Form, has assisted numerous players in Legends: Z-A. The thing about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unabashed passion for treats. Several previous Pokédex entries mention their fondness for sweet sap and how it uses its horn to hoard it everything, which is pure Taurus energy.

The Twins – Mega Medicham

Observe this absolute royalty. You cannot convince me this Pokémon is not the life of every party, offering an constant fountain of chatter to anyone who wants to listen. Much like an enrapturing, sociable Gemini, it's very simple to envision Mega Medicham mesmerizing an entire open area with their tales. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also states its ability to predict an opponent's future actions, which sounds quite like a socially-savvy Gemini.

The Crab – Super Manectric

Cancer is widely regarded as the most emotional sign of the zodiac, a passionate symbol known for often becoming absorbed in their emotions. According to the official info, Super Evolution fills the Pokémon with a “huge quantity of electricity, but it's excessive for Manectric to completely control,” which seems a lot like a typical Crab crash-out. It is also recognized for its capability to create a storm cloud over its own head – and if there’s one thing a Crab is going to do, it’s rain on their good time.

The Lion – Super Starmie

Oh, did you assume I was going to pick the lion Pokémon for the lion of the zodiac? Besides the reality that it would be far too on the nose, Leo is clearly Super Starmie, the star whose gams just went viral for being too glamorous (or horrifying, depending on your taste). Players were captivated from the purple sea star, and that’s exactly the same vibe a Leo brings to the scene. Starmie is also said to be transmitting signals from its center out into space, and it’s just like a Lion to be putting on a performance, even if for extraterrestrials.

Virgo – Super Victreebel

The always-ready and constantly-worried Virgo is ideally encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with constant digestive issues. The zodiac symbol famous for being charmingly judgmental is strongly reflected across this creature's whole evolutionary chain, from a always shocked face like a Virgo when you inform them you don’t have a 401(k), to its upside-down face that’s similar to the symbol a Maiden sends to the chatroom when all says they want to “be spontaneous” rather than creating a strategy.

Libra – Super Audino

Look at this gentle, empathetic being, who uses the feelers on its ears to detect how others are feeling by their pulse. Consistently empathetic – sometimes to a detriment – and trying to keep the harmony, there are numerous Scales who would likely benefit from Super Audino's abilities. However, let’s be honest, it would likely just make them worry more about others.

Scorpio – Super Banette

This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a surprisingly tragic origin: Abandoned as a toy, it gained sentient through pure resentment and vowed revenge on its former owner. According to the official info, Mega Evolution, “increases its vindictiveness.” That seems precisely like several conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpion friends. A Scorpion loves cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the ideal match with Super Banette.

Sagittarius – Mega Hawlucha

Both Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are constantly staging a performance. As a Sagittarius myself, the number of occasions I’ve called myself some variation of a “silly small entertainer” is countless. The showiest and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “flexes to display its power.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Archer counterpart I can imagine.

Capricorn – Mega Absol

Were you aware that a Super Absol has the power to foresee calamities in advance? That exudes the exact same energy as a Goat, who often always believe they’re right. Interestingly, much like a visionary Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute initial Super Form that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to get in on the ground floor of the Super Form craze.

The Water Bearer – Mega Chandelure

Aloof element Aquarius is arguably the non-fire sign that is most like a flame symbol – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are countless memes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being unpredictable accomplices.
