LA Erupts in Jubilation as Dodgers Secure Back-to-Back World Series Championship
The City of Angels witnessed widespread celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-game World Series championship. Fans across the globe united with Angelenos in celebration, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a franchise has achieved back-to-back championships.
Celebration Parade Draws Massive Turnout
Local celebrations featured a downtown parade on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings across the city.
Online footage show thousands of Los Angeles residents packing downtown streets, many carrying handmade banners and Dodger flags. The team was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the crowds, hoisting the championship trophy high.
“I’m already thinking about the third time we’re going to achieve this,” Shohei Ohtani remarked through an translator.
The parade route ended at the stadium, where the players walked out to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard providing music and the artist driving a Pacific blue vintage Cadillac around the field.

However, the team owner received a cooler reception at the celebration. Video footage from the event seem to depict Walter walking onstage to a combination of applause and jeers, with jeers punctuating his address.
The World Series served as a positive moment in what has been a challenging year for Los Angeles. An approximate 225,000 people showed up to the championship parade last year, and according to Dodgers player one athlete, fans this year demonstrated equal or greater enthusiasm.
